It describes the period in which a building is economically functional under normal maintenance and satisfies the demands of the house owner.

It is an areal method of building and is close to the classic methods of construction (masonry, reinforced concrete). Usually prefabricated components or modules of different formats are used. The wall elements receive the areal denudation of the vertical powers; usually they simultaneously harden the construction. Wood massive building elements and components consist basically of saw products such as boards, shelves or squared timbers, which are screwed together, are nailed or glued together. Wood massive elements work, in comparison to wood frame, with the separation of the static and physical wall. With this you can cover more space, but the thickness of the exterior components has to be considered. In the massive construction the stability characteristics of wood are best used. It is four times more stable (vertically) than a regular title. With this, you get slim walls and ceilings.
- Wood construction
You speak of wood construction, if the carrying construction of a building consist predominantly of wood as building material. Furthermore wood constructions are subdivided after the type of the load denudation or the static system. So it gives the load denudation over points such as it is the case in the in the skeleton building and the static areal components in half timber construction, block and massive construction.
- Wood facade
They can be made of vertical or horizontal, generally nailed boards, which are applied in one or more layers on the carrying wall, e.g. the wood shingle facade. There are no limits to collaboration. Untreated wood changes the color, but that does not effect the stiffness. Paintwork lasts about 5-15 years, after this it has to be renewed.
